Tipi Party

Celebrating your 50th birthday doesn’t have to be a black tie formal affair.

While getting to know this client, The Angels Events quickly discovered that the outdoors, (in particular skiing), family, friends, red wine, and good food were some of his most favourite ways to enjoy his time out of the office. Hand in hand with the client not wanting to host yet another formal ball in the already busy winter season, The Angels Events set to work designing a rustic and raw yet polished and sophisticated Après Ski themed tipi party.

The snowy alpine tipi party took place at the clients home, with guests led to the garden by a glowing festoon walkway. Hanging silver mosaic lanterns glittered in the ceilings, while in the dining marquee long wooden bench tables were dressed with faux reindeer skin, ornate metal hanging lanterns and twinkling votives. In the reception marquee sat a large round mirrored bar, surrounded by snowy fir trees dressed with crystal decorations.

Rattan sofas mixed with alpine tapestry floor cushions and ottomans provided ample seating for guests wishing to rest their dancing feet, and roaring fires warmed the tipis throughout. Guests dined on traditional Swiss Alp delicacies, sipped full bodied reds, and ski shotted Jägermeister to the tunes of a Bavarian Oompah band in true après style.

If the tipi style marquee isn’t quite to your taste, take a look at an event hosted in a Sperry tent or stretch tent over on The Angels Events portfolio page.
