Party At Home

When The Angels Events were approached to organise a summer garden party at home in North Yorkshire that reflected the families personalities, hobbies and home, creative director and founder of The Angels Events, Eleanor Richardson, set to work to glean all the necessary information from the client. After a number of meetings and site visits, a slick and sophisticated yet relaxed and fun summer garden party held in a beige stretch tent structure with unique entertainment was proposed to the client.

A valet parking team greeted guests, while reception drinks were served from a beautifully wooden clad horse trailer on the terrace overlooking the party space. All staff were dressed in beige chinos with crisp white shirts, Converse pumps and custom branded aprons in keeping with the summer theme. The lawn, divided in half by two shallow canal water features, was covered with stretch tents – one side to house long elegant dining tables, and the other to house a white panelled bar and platform stage.

Dining tables, in contrast to the country feel of the stretch tents, were luxuriously dressed with white under cloths and taupe hemstitch over cloths, sumptuous fresh green and white florals, cut glass votives, fine glassware, well balanced cutlery and custom branded napkins. With emphasis on the relaxed nature of this event, food was served from lava-rock barbecues, cooked live in front of the guests. The sunlight dropped and the vintage filament bulb festoon lighting set a beautiful atmosphere, as guests danced on their chairs (and the tables!) to the sounds of a fantastic roaming interactive band.

As dining ended and the band performed their last song, pyrotechnics led the way with a bang over the canals, and guests made their way across the bespoke oak bridges to the dance floor which had been surrounded with a deep feature floral bed mirroring the existing garden border. The eagerly anticipated celebrity act, Tony Hadley, took to the stage and blew the guests away with an energy filled performance.
