30th Birthday Party

Having previously produced the wedding of this stunning birthday girl, The Angels Events knew there was an expectation of this 30th birthday party that could not be looked on lightly. Not to overshadow or compete with the timeless wedding, this celebration had to be of a different flavour while still upholding the birthday girl’s standard of opulence, elegance, sophistication and attention to detail.

A venue, (and a dress!), were sourced which led to the development of the chosen Gatsby theme. Guests arrived at the Emerald Headingley Stadium to a red carpet walkway, lined with a flood of gold and black edged candle light. Bartenders with bowties and braces were on hand to serve guests from the freestanding champagne tower, while a Roaring 20’s style band played in the background. The venue’s furniture removed, The Angels Events dressed the space with luxury beige velvet seating areas, twinkling warm gold candle light and stunning orchid and palm floral displays.

Following the service of canapés and bowl food, a flash-mob style flapper girl performance took place, leading all the guests in a dancing procession through to the next event space of the evening. In perfect contrast this space was adorned with large deco gold palm trees, shimmering crystal and pearl curtains, a personalised 30th deco dance floor, oversized feather displays on bespoke 30th black plinths, and black velvet seating areas.

Here the 30th birthday party was raised to the next level, guests with espresso martini’s in hand, flooded to the dance floor for the rest of the evening, with a 16 piece party band playing into the early hours.
