AUTUMN WEDDING

WHEN RUSTIC MEETS ELEGANCE AND SOPHISTICATION

While many couples struggle for the perfect summer wedding date filled with white and blush tones, Victoria and Michael dreamt of a rustic yet elegant autumn wedding, in a marquee by the lakeside at Victoria’s family home, surrounded by rich red, yellow and amber leaf tones.

The breathtaking Priory Church at Bolton Abbey held a special place in Victoria’s heart as generations before her had wed here. Once this stunning location for the Bride and Groom to say ‘I Do’ had been secured, The Angels Events set to work designing and planning a sophisticated autumnal toned wedding.

Whether you have a clear vision for your wedding in mind or not, The Angels Events are here to guide you through the process and design a wedding that is bespoke to you and your partner. To discover more about how we do this, head to our approach page.

The clearspan marquee with two fully glazed window walls sat proudly by the lakeside, framed by strings of festoon that came to life as the light outside began to fade. Gasps could be heard as guests entered the candlelit bar area.

Light bounced from the panelled mirrored bar, and a large woodland arrangement hung overhead. Tables were dressed with deep aubergine, biscuit and chocolate toned table linen, adorned with three variants of autumn wedding table centres; the first, a yellow leafed maple tree stood tall planted into a bed of moss and foraged leaf cover, the second, an ornate pewter candelabra placed on a wooden tree stump and dressed with fresh autumn fruits and woodland branches, and finally the third, a stunning floral arrangement foraged from the garden and surrounded by twinkling candle light.

Following heartfelt speeches, a reveal curtained opened and guests flooded to the dancefloor to dance the night away to the band’s soulful vocals. A firework display closed the evenings proceedings, with stunning reflections over the lake.
