As plans are underway to create the most unforgettable Rio Carnival theme for The Firecracker Ball 2018, we’ve been reminiscing about the vast range of themed table centres, props, draping, lighting effects and even chocolate rivers (!) we’ve created for the prestigious charity ball over the last 10 years at Rudding Park, Harrogate.

Everyone who has ever attended the ball or followed The Angels Events for some time will have their favourite theme, I bet you’re thinking of yours right now, (it’s the chocolate river isn’t it!), but seeing them all on one page it suddenly becomes hard to choose. From 6 metre playing card chandeliers and 8ft lollypops to Venetian canals and castle turrets, (did I mention we also created a chocolate river?), we’ve pushed the creative boundaries at every turn to ensure the ball gets bigger and better, to ultimately encourage guests to donate to the fantastic Barnardo’s. The work of Barnardo’s helps to change the lives of thousands of children and young people across the region every year. Since 2002 the ball has raised over £2.5m for the charity, and will continue to strive to do so year on year.
